The Firm held its second session of the annual review meeting on February 23 and 24 at the Beijing office, connected simultaneously with the Shanghai and Shenzhen offices through the on-line network video conference system. The junior and middle level associates of the real estate, corporate, financial, and Euro-American groups gave presentations on typical cases they have worked on in 2007. The presiding partners made well-prepared comments and summaries on each case reported, and gave brief analysis on some typical cases. The reviews and the partners’ comments on the cases gave the associates valuable opportunities to enhance their comprehensive capability of understanding and resolving key issues in the real business world.
The meeting was not only an annual routine but more importantly a series of training classes of case studies and internal exchange of ideas among our partners and associates. In the closing remarks, the partners set targets for the junior and middle level associates and asked them to further improve themselves by laying a solid foundation for their legal career through continuing on-job studies of legal theories and practicing rules, maintaining a humble and diligent work attitude, and practising appropriate methodology with proper ways of thinking. The attending associates treasured their jobs with the firm and appreciated the lessons learned in the session and experience that they have built up while taking up different positions at the firm. They grow with the firm and represent a bright future of the firm.
