Attorney Liu Borong Attended International Symposium on Securitization Legislation in China
On 12-13 April 2007, Liu Borong, on behalf of Zhong Lun Law Firm, attended the international symposium on Amendment to Legislation, Laws and Administrative Measures Regarding Securitization in China jointly held by People’s Bank of China and Asia Development Bank in Beijing. At the invitation of the People’s Bank of China, Mr. Liu organized attorneys having good reputation both at home and abroad in the area of securitization to propose written comments on such Amendment. Zhong Lun continued providing in-depth counseling for the securitization legal system in China.
This is a securitization legislation research project established by Asia Development Bank and the People’s Bank of China through cooperation since 2005, aiming at giving proposal for the amendments to legislation, laws and administrative measures regarding securitization in China. This meeting is the first symposium held by Asia Development Bank and the People’s Bank of China following two working meetings in April and June 2006 respectively. A formal Securitization Law (Draft) will be made after the symposium and submitted to relevant authorities for review and approval.
This symposium is significantly meaningful for the consummation of legal framework of securitization in China.
