Zhong Lun Law Firm Holds International Arbitration Symposium
Zhong Lun Law Firm successfully hosted a symposium on international arbitration in Beijing on May 31, 2009. Key speakers were Liu Jing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and Cao Lijun, a partner of Zhong Lun and arbitrator with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).
Mr. Liu began with a summary introduction of arbitration in Hong Kong and the HKIAC, and then elaborated on the procedures prescribed by the Administered Arbitration Rules which took effect on September 1, 2008. After Mr. Liu Jing’s speech, Mr. Cao briefed on the similarities and differences between arbitration rules of HKIAC and CIETAC, based on his years of experience in arbitration.
The symposium was hosted by Zhu Maoyuan, a senior partner of Zhong Lun. More than 40 legal professionals from Zhong Lun clients attended.
