Zhong Lun Continues Leading Private Equity Practice in Year 2007
Despite regulatory and market uncertainties, the year 2007 had witnessed a continued success of private equity and venture capital investments in China. Led by Anthony Zhao and his team’s premier practice in the market, Zhong Lun continued its great achievements on all aspects in this field.
Anthony Zhao and his team successfully represented AIG, Bear Stearns, CRCI, Deutsche Bank, First Shanghai, GE, IDG, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Natexis, Qiming, RBS, Sequoia, SIG, Softbank and Starr, etc., dealing with dozens of cross-border transactions in China. A few stand-out non-confidential examples include investments: by a consortium led by Morgan Stanley in ITAT (on garment retail); by Royal Bank of Scotland in its transaction on “China New Town" (on primary land development); by Qiming in Juren (on private education); by Sequoia and Intel in 51.com (an online community); and by SIG in Kanghui (on medical devices).
