Zhong Lun Meets New Record in Domestic Bond Market
In the year 2007, Zhong Lun was retained as the counsel of issuers and underwriters, providing comprehensive legal services on seven issuances of corporate bonds. The total amount of capital raised was close to RMB 60 billion.
Among the issuers, the Ministry of Railway issued a Railroad Construction Bonds for RMB 45 billion, which was the largest one ever in the domestic bond market. For Huaneng International, we served as counsel to the syndicated underwriters and the total bond issued was RMB 6 billion，representing a new record after the implementation of the Trial Rules for Issuance of Corporate Bonds governing the domestic listed companies upon bond issuance. Zhong Lun advised China Movie Group on its bond issuance, which marked a major breakthrough in capital market for funding domestic enterprises in cultural and entertainment business.
Zhong Lun’s bond team was headed by Ye Bei-cheng. Team members include Zheng Xiao-jin, Liu Dong-ping, yuan Jun-kai, and Xu kai.
