According to CIETAC officials, CIETAC Arbitrator Guidelines is underway. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CIETAC and Wang Chengjie, Deputy Secretary General of CIETAC visited the firm’s Beijing office on April 7 2008 and debriefed on the status of the Arbitrator’s Guidelines, a roadmap that the CIETAC arbitrators will follow in pretrial review, trial proceeding procedures and award drafting. Professional exchange between the arbitrators and trial lawyers will benefit the clients in commercial arbitration proceedings in which the arbitrators and lawyers play different roles.
