Zhong Lun Granted Zhong Lun Scholarship to Law Students in Financial Difficulty from Five Universities in Beijing
On 12 March, 2008, during a ceremony in Zhong Lun Law Firm’s Beijing Office, Zhong Lun’s Partners, Attorneys Zhang Xue-bing and Liu Yu-ming, on behalf of the Firm, honorably granted the Zhong Lun Scholarship 2008 to law students.
Since 2004, our Firm has established the “Zhong Lun Scholarship Fund" in association with five law schools in Beijing, including Beijing University Law School, Tsinghua University Law School, Renmin University of China, University of Politics & Laws of China, and University of Foreign Economic and Trade. Throughout the five years, with this scholarship Zhong Lun gave financial support to the law students in need, in a way to guiding the students’ legal education development in the right direction. This represents Zhong Lun’s deep commitment to pro bono work, providing desperately needed help to the society with love and care.
During the ceremony, Zhang Xue-bing gave a brief introduction to the students about the Firm’s practice.
“Students, who are yet to prosper in their legal career, should know more about the legal profession, be enthusiastic in their legal studies, and maintain their tenacity in accomplishing their future goals." said Zhang, encouraging the attending students to work hard in their studies.
The students came from a wide range of different family backgrounds. Some of them are from the snowstorm-hit areas in Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi and Guangdong Provinces, and some are ethnic minorities from the Xinjiang Province. After the ceremony, the students had a tour around the firm and had brief chats with our lawyers. The students sincerely appreciated the assistance provided by our Firm, and promised to continue their studies diligently with a view to contributing to the society in the near future.
