Zhong Lun Law Firm Continues to be a Yearly Legal Adviser for the Beijing Development and Reform Committee
On July 26, 2006, Beijing Municipality Development and Reform Committee convened a special conference to review work reports by yearly legal advisers made by legal entities, including Zhong Lun and award an engagement letter. Attorney Zhu Maoyuan, on behalf of Zhong Lun Law Firm, reviewed the legal services in the past two years to the Commitee officials and all the staff of the Legal Affairs Department. The commissioner of the Committee Mr. Song Yu and the director of legal affairs department Han Xiaofang recognized the achievement of Zhong Lun Law Firm on behalf of the Committee.
Reviewing the legal counseling from 2004 to 2005, Zhong Lun Law Firm made use of its professional specialties as well as team work. More than 10 partners including Zhang Xuebing, Wu Peng, Zhu Maoyuan, Liu Honghuan, Liu Yulin, Wang Fei, Hao Han and more were put in charge of their respective field. Over 20 attorneys undertook a range of legal services and provided timely, convenient, high-quality daily legal counseling, special research report and special legal agency services, held in high regard by the Committee.
Zhong Lun Law Firm will provide the following counseling from 2006 to 2008: 1. assist the Committee in a validity review of local regulations, rules and administrative measures; 2. assist in providing a validity review of administrative decisions regarding project management of prices, inviting public bidding and tendering, energy saving, coal, power etc.; 3. assist in coordinating the current administrative permit system in charge by the Committee and making work responsibilities; 4. assist in normalizing and perfecting the administrative enforcement and system of responsibility; 5. assist in arranging legal training, establishing and perfecting all working systems; 6. act as agent for administrative reconsideration and litigation; 7. provide legal counseling on special researches and coordination.
